Hankouli: an antique block of the 10th Wuhan Int’l Garden Expo

Situated on a local refuse landfill called Jinkou, the main venue of the 10th China (Wuhan) International Garden Expo is to be completed by the end of this month, and will be put into trial operation in September.
　　

The 10th China (Wuhan) International Garden Expo highlights Hankouli, an antique block that embodies the historic and cultural landscape of Hankou a century ago. The block restores the representative architectures, culture and business forms of Hankou in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, including Hanzheng Street, Dajia Street, Changdi Street and Hualou Street. There are 16 main architectures in the block, as well as a memorial archway of Hankou wharf and a western style bell tower.
